Jeff Sessions, in which Warren was reading a 1986 letter by Coretta Scott King that criticized Sessions, because she was impugning Session's character.
Later, McConnell said in his own defense, “Sen. Warren was giving a lengthy speech. She had appeared to violate the rule. She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted.”

Warren herself lived up to McConnell's word. Though she was prevented from further speaking during the Sessions debate, Warren left the chamber and finished her reading of King's letter, broadcasting it on Facebook Live.
